Welcome to Race Of Vikings
Race Of Vikings a is a one-off event using iRacing Simulator System as platform. The event is a 90 minutes Online race. It is organized in a cooperation between the Nordic Countries with the aim to unite the Nordic Countries in a future Nordic Championship. The race will be broadcasted. Each country will be covering the broadcast with their national commentators.
BMW M8 GTE
All participants will be competing in the BMW M8 GTE with fixed setup. The setup will be provided by an external drivers, who is not allowed to participate in the Race. This car has a lot of power and no ABS system, it’s fast and hard to master.
Circuit Of The Americas.
Race Of Vikings will take place on the American Race Track, Circuit of the Americas. The track hosted the FIA Formula 1, FIA WEC as well as other sprint and endurance championship.
Invitational Race
- Each promoter will invite the top teams from its national communities
- Most likely the top running teams and drivers form the national championships are invited.
- Each country has 10 spots.
- Depending on signup this number might be increased.
- Race Of Vikings will host both esport drivers as well as Racedrivers known from the real world.

Communication
The person that signs up the team will receive information with links to discord for general communication and teamspeak for racespot broadcast interviews. The Race Of Vikings Discord will only be active for this single race.
General Rules of Track Behaviour
Safe on track
It is a requirement that the drivers can control the car and drive safely among other drivers on the track in all sessions.
Deliberate collision
Deliberate collision of other drivers (revenge actions, dive bombs or anything like) are strictly forbidden.
Overtakings
If an overtaking car has the front wheel at your back wheel, it is both cars responsibility to make sure that both cars make it through the corner.
Lane Change
It is only allowed to change lane one time in order to defend a position. Moving under braking, or excessive weaving/blocking can be penalized.
Blue Flag
The blue flag must be respected.
Pit Exit
The white lines at the pit exit must be respected in any official session.
Track Limits
Track limit is between the white lines (on some tracks yellow lines) on the track. If all wheels are placed outside the lines, it is considered as leaving the track / exceeding track limits.
When exceeding track limits / leaving track, either by pushing too hard, by accident or mistake, it is the responsibility of the driver to enter the track safely.
It is not allowed to park the car on the track in any session.
It is not allowed to make shortcuts. Cutting penalties will work according to the the game standard rules. In any extreme situations, ESR will post supplementary regulations.
Cutting
Det er ikke tilladt at gøre banen kortere ved at ”cutte” et sving. I INTRO SERIES afgør iRacing som udgangspunkt straffen for cutting, dog kan dommerne i særlige tilfælde tildele yderligere straf.
Race End
Crazy behaviour after passing the finish line on last lap, will not be accepted.
The drivers should continue to next straight and safely exit to the lobby.
Donuts are accepted for the winner of the race.
